REVIEW
After the sudden death of her father, Rebecca returns home to the small town where she grew up to sort through his possessions. She discovers that her father had been investigating a series of murders which had become something of a local urban legend. After learning from the Police that it was possible her father was actually murdered, she decides to continue his research and finish what he started.
What I loved the most about this book was that it had a very real feeling about it. Sometimes thrillers can be a little far-fetched in places but I actually felt like the things that were happening could actually happen, especially the idea that most crimes are committed by someone you know - the victims let them in, or take up their offer of a lift home. I certainly checked that I had locked all of my doors and windows after reading it!
The plot was fast-paced and addictive, I read the whole book over a weekend because it was one of those stories that keeps you guessing and wanting to find out what will happen.
This was the first book I had read by Howard Linskey and I absolutely loved it. The type of story, the characters, the plot and the pace were perfect for me. As soon as I finished it, I went straight to look for the other books by the author to add them to my TBR.
