REVIEW
The Serial Killer's Party is the perfect summer thriller - it's got the escapism, the glamour, the parties, the mystery and all of the murders. What more could you want? Amelia has been desperately trying to get the police to take her sister's disappearance seriously for months. She knows that she wouldn't have broken contact for this long unless something had happened, and all she has to go on is an invitation to an exclusive party in Norway. She takes matters into her own hands and manages to get herself invited to the annual party held by her boyfriend's extremely wealthy cousin at his estate. As soon as she arrives, Amelia starts to investigate, snooping around and questioning the staff. The problem is that her actions do not go unnoticed, and she is soon under fire from Lawrence and most of his loyal family. Was Rose killed at the party a year earlier? If so, who was the killer? Has Amelia now put her own life in danger?
I will say that the story is sometimes over the top, but it's also a lot of fun. The lavish parties, the expensive clothes, the privilege, the cover-ups and all of the secrets - this is not a book that you should take too seriously, but it's got everything you could want from a murder mystery thriller. It's addictive to read, the characters are interesting and it keeps you guessing. There were so many possible suspects that I really didn't know who was going to be revealed as the killer. If you like a thriller with holiday vibes, love-to-hate characters and a lot of twists then this is the book for you!
