making the most of what you have.
- Styling Your Home with simple solutions for re-imagining each room, from gallery walls
to home bars, repainted storage to retro accessories.
Including her top ten key vintage buys and tips for in-store and online thrifting, Lisa's

your home feeling fresh.
REVIEW
No, you haven't come to the wrong place - this is a slightly different review from me but I have my reasons. I am expecting a baby this summer and nesting has well and truly kicked in! I have a HUGE list of jobs that need to be done around the house before the baby arrives and I thought it would be great to get some inspiration before I made a start.
However, the problem I have now is that after reading this book, my simple 'to do' list has now escalated into a strong desire to redecorate the entire house! I should have known this would be a bad idea!
The first point I want to make is that the design, photographs and layout of the book are all stunning. Every single page has something to catch your eye. You can just open the book on any random page and find a gorgeous photo and relevant information.
One of my favourite features is the double-page spreads featuring 10 items e.g. 10 Gallery Walls and 10 Key Vintage Buys. By focusing on more than one element, the ideas are more flexible and you can find something that works for you, even if not all of the options are your style.
I have a selection of interior design books, but this is the first I have read with a definite focus on resourceful living - actively promoting buying secondhand, going to auctions or repurposing items we already own. There is a section on resourceful materials and also checklists to make you really think about what you want to get out of the design and if the design decisions you are making are the correct ones for your needs.
The last thing in the book is a directory of resources filling several pages. Online links to various places and websites where you can source items for your home. I have already lost several hours searching through the sites listed!
If you have a passion for interior design, are thinking about making changes to the style of your home or are simply interested in a beautifully designed coffee table book, Resourceful Living is the perfect choice.
